IT'S ALL HAPPENING

Well, it's taken longer than I expected but the first book of the Brief History of Humankind Trilogy is ready to go. I will put it up on Kindle in the next day or so.

I wrote the first draft in under two months finishing in the middle of September. The story just flew out of me. From then until now I have been editing the first book and writing the first hundred or so pages of the second book. The material for the second book gave me new ideas to strengthen the first book and the editing process has made the story significantly better.

Below is the book description. Tomorrow I will post the list of characters and a short timeline form the book.

NOVA SOL, book one of the Brief History of Humankind Trilogy

Twenty years after the Planetary Rebellion, the Nova Sol Colonists are still stranded hundreds of light years from Earth. The mysterious teleportation mechanism that allowed humans to settle the new solar system was eradicated in the natural disasters caused by the rebellion. The invention of a faster than light technology offers the 5 million colonists new hope for returning to their home planet. But difficulties arise in implementing the new stardrive. These difficulties will force Presdient Benefacio to risk others' lives in order to get back to Earth

Lurking in the background, the Bions - bio-nanites that were “awakened” during the Planetary Rebellion - are following their own agenda, which will put them at odds with the humans.

Several humans - including President Benefacio’s father - have spontaneously developed anti-aging abilities. Is this a freak occurrence or is there some greater force at work?

Meanwhile, on Bastin, the desert planet, one of the original human colonists keeps a secret that will change the course of human history.

Schedule

My intentions at this point are to have the first draft of the first book of the Nova Sol Trilogy completed by the end of September. At that point I will make free samples available on this site. Then by the end of October I will have the book available in the kindle store online.

I have three hundred pages as of today and predict that the book will be about five hundred pages long. These are 400 plus word pages in Micrsosoft Word i'm talking about. Not sure yet how that will work out when its in ebook format.

This trilogy is the first time that I will make available to the public any of my fiction writing. I have been writing on and off for about ten years now but have never made it public. I am now living my dream life by supporting myself as an author. This trilogy is the first step in what will be a long and fruitful career.

It is the first in a projected trilogy that will be released over the course of the next several months.
